national maritime museum
Three interactive, video based table installations to educate visitors on the history of western explorers, traders and colonisers in the new wing at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, London.
Like the installations at the National Army Museum, it was a pleasure to be given the digitised collection of the museum’s historical paintings and bring them to life with animation.
User testing was essential and needed to take into consideration the wide range of seeing ability and experience with interactive platforms the patrons to the museum would have. This fed back into the project as it developed.
For the final stages of the install, I was responsible for mapping the projection onto the tables.
